Clarifier Coating System Replacement
Location: Idaho Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP)
Scope: Clarifier Liner Removal and Replacement
System: MortarClad Base | Permashield Base & Topcoat – Chemical & Abrasion Resistant
Peckham Coatings was contracted to remove and replace the liner system in a clarifier at an active wastewater treatment facility in Idaho. The existing coatings were completely removed down to bare concrete through full mechanical surface preparation. We then installed a new high-performance liner system designed specifically for long-term wastewater immersion and chemical resistance.
The system began with a MortarClad base layer, providing a strong, resurfaced foundation for the coating system. Over this, we applied a Permashield base coat engineered for wastewater immersion, followed by a Permashield topcoat to deliver maximum chemical resistance, abrasion protection, and long-term durability.
The project featured a strict 28-day completion window during the plant’s scheduled shutdown. Despite challenging conditions—including extreme temperatures, high winds, heavy rain, and working around-the-clock shifts—we completed the project on time and within the required specifications. Multiple crews worked in rotation to maintain continuous progress, ensuring 24-hour coverage on-site throughout the shutdown period.
Our team coordinated closely with the facility to meet all access, safety, and production requirements. The successful execution of this project under tight timelines and extreme conditions demonstrates our ability to deliver reliable, high-performance coating systems—no matter the environment.
