Meat Processing Facility Renovation
Location: California
Scope: Flooring, Curb Coatings, Joint Fill, Concrete Sealer, and Wastewater Containment
System: ¼" Urethane Cement with Epoxy Topcoat | Epoxy Curb Coatings | Concrete Sealer | Polyurea Joint Filler
Peckham Coatings played a key role in the transformation of an aging food production plant into a fully modernized meat processing facility. This extensive renovation required coordination with multiple contractors through several phases, and our team was responsible for delivering high-performance coatings and surface systems throughout the space.
We installed 60,000 square feet of ¼-inch urethane cement flooring with an epoxy topcoat, engineered for heavy use, moisture control, and chemical resistance. Surface preparation included full mechanical diamond grinding, crack chasing, and repair to ensure optimal performance. We installed 5,500 linear feet of polyurea joint filler, providing long-lasting protection for control joints and helping maintain a seamless, sanitary surface.
In addition, we applied 135,000 square feet of concrete sealer in non-production areas and coated 4,200 linear feet of 4-foot-high concrete curbs. The curbs were diamond ground, patched with epoxy, and finished with a high-build epoxy system to withstand impact and routine washdowns. We also resurfaced the facility’s wastewater containment area to improve durability and chemical containment.
Despite the complexity of the multi-phase renovation, our team delivered quality workmanship on schedule, helping bring this major facility upgrade to life with lasting, food-safe, and compliant coating systems throughout.
