ESD Flooring Installation – Flavor Manufacturing Facility

Scope: Electrostatic Dissipative (ESD) Flooring System Installation
System: ¼" Urethane Cement Base | ESD Epoxy Topcoat | Fiber-Reinforced Epoxy Cove
Peckham Coatings was contracted to replace a deteriorating floor at a flavor manufacturing facility in Utah. The existing surface showed significant wear and cracking, requiring full removal down to bare concrete. Our team implemented a durable, electrostatic dissipative (ESD) flooring system designed to meet the client’s performance and safety needs.
Surface preparation included thorough mechanical grinding, crack chasing, and epoxy patching to restore a stable substrate. We then installed a ¼-inch urethane cement base to provide strength, chemical resistance, and moisture mitigation, followed by a high-performance ESD epoxy topcoat. To complete the system, we installed integral fiber-reinforced epoxy cove base around the perimeter, ensuring seamless protection up the walls.
The work was completed during a tightly scheduled 10-day Thanksgiving shutdown, with zero disruption to the facility’s production schedule. The project was delivered on time, and the client was highly satisfied with the results—both in performance and finish.
