System: Stranlok Fiber-Reinforced Coating with Fiberglass Mat Layup
Peckham Coatings was contracted to upgrade both the walls and ceilings of a dairy processing facility in Utah using the Stranlok fiber-reinforced coating system. The project was completed in two separate 14-day shutdowns, carefully phased to allow the facility to remain operational throughout the renovation process.
The system included a fiberglass mat layup, applied directly over existing tile surfaces. It was finished with a smooth, seamless coating designed for food-grade environments, offering excellent durability, cleanability, and impact resistance. By applying the system to both the walls and ceilings, we created a continuous, sanitary envelope that meets strict industry standards.
Work areas presented significant access challenges due to dense piping and overhead structures, but our team navigated the complexity safely and efficiently. The project was completed on time during both shutdown windows, with minimal disruption to plant operations and results that exceeded client expectations.
